  • 2010.03.21 [Enlightenment from an interesting story]

    Today, my younger sister, who is a primary student, told me an interesting story, it’s talking about father and son carried a donkey. They shock me strongly; you may discovery some sense form it, especially the future leader. So I want to share this story for my dear classmates…o(^@^)o

    Once upon a time, the father and son rode a donkey enter to the city from their country. In a while, they discovered a stranger A stare them and said that you are very merciless, your donkey was thin and bone, it’s hard to ride two people in the same time. So the father came down and walked near the donkey. Soon after, a stranger B rebuked the son that he didn’t in accordance with filial, because his old father walked and he rode comfortable. So they exchanged the seats (walk and ride) again. Then, they met the stranger C, who angry with the father that he didn’t care his younger son and just rode the donkey selfish……again and again. Finally, the father and son decided to carry the donkey with their shoulders till the tour finished.

    This story is talking about that we ought to admit other opinion, but can’t believe blindly and loss one’s mind. In different angle, culture, condition etc, can decide your behavior. Actually, we should open- minded to admit different opinion, and then choose the suitable methods. as a leader, that is very important, you can make sure every suggestion is correct? Oh! This is impossible! So, smart leader need to grow up the sense with the foresight, especially to catch up the opportunity and talented person.

    In addition, I think the leader should think thrice before words and deeds, because leader not belongs oneself, you know, leader is the head of the team, it means: focus are you! Each statement or action is also powerful. In other words, leader should model his followers and give off special charm, like wisdom, optimistic, thankful etc. So a leader should responsible to his words and deeds.

    All in all, less unnecessary thing, become cleverer.

  • 2010.03.20 [Hot Pot and Karaoke with my dear classmates]

    IMG_0165 Tonight, I have the dinner with my HC classmates, they also friendly and helpful, I very enjoy sticking with them, we have same channel, so I am not alone! Actually, I like that night, mostly to meet the freshman of HC, I really happy to help them solve some questions.

    because I learn about education, so I think that trained the successor is the mostly important, you can think in easily, well, when you educated the follower, can bright their talent, educated the leader, can prolong your shine. For example, when Macau comes back to China, our president, Hu Jintao told to us (teenagers) that “Macau’s future depended on you.” YES! It is necessary! As a leader, should not be jealous for an excellent follower.

    Karaoke…….HA HA! I was the Karaoke Queen since my secondary study. So I’m not shy to sing for my dear classmates even my voice is ugly. Tonight, I finished 19 songs. I almost sing the song to death.

  • 2010.03.10 [Be useful for other people]

    On Wednesday’s class, we talked about the positive and negative character of a leader. Actually, it’s very interesting that Dr. Udani made many golden words, and that “be useful for other people” is remarkable ones for me…….HA HA! That is my motto. In addition I remind myself in anywhere and anytime, I can’t let down their expectation (all people who love me). I think the leader should like that; even you are positive or negative, right?

    I really believe that a leader can let the followers to their dream; an excellent leader can let them to the levels they should arrive (not only they want). In other words, leaders need to bright their followers with foresight, it means that you should be useful no matter your role is helper/excavator/grantor/stranger/enemy. For example, an excellent leader should need the special helpers and followers to fight together for dreams; a talented person need appreciated by excavator and gain the opportunity.   Then, they also can show off the talents as possible. Evidently, the win-win policy is more suitable in that society. However, I think “be useful for other people” is the useful motto to be a leader.

    At last, Dr. Udani showed us a video, which is about “Fire Chicken”. Tow feeling shock me strongly, heart-broken and happiness. It’s hard to imagine that our chicken leftovers can be a rich dinner for the poor people. Actually, I believe we already knew or heard that, just lighted by time or happiness. As a leader, could not forget their social responsibility even any trouble you are fighting, must remember that everything ought to obey the human being, because nobody can live alone, especially a leader. in addition, through this video, I re-confirm that I am very happiness, should less complain and do better, everybody lives , have their own responsibility, so DON’T WASTE OUR LIFE!

  • 2010.03.04 [ Interesting NIP lecture]

    Today, I joined a NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) lecture which is hold by SAS of UM. The topic is ”Excellent state, Any where, Any day” . I think is can left people know how to be master for their own sentiment and overcome the sad through our nervous system, the speaker told us that it has five sense: organs (Neuro), verbal and non-verbal communication (Linguistic) and habits (Programming). It was very interesting.

    For example, if you see a stone in front of you, of cause, you can set your mind on stumbling block, which may fall you down and stop your steps. In other hands, you can see it like stepping-stone, when you pass it; you can stand in different high to develop yourself. Actually, both depend on your idea, pessimistic or optimistic. Those really manage your attitude and behavior. I think it’s suitable for being a leader, because leader is the key figure of the team, so keep optimistic, may have more power to overcome the problems and gain enough support from other members. All in all, nobody like to work under the sad surrounding, right?

    In addition, optimism can spread to speech. Actually, speaking skill is most important in communication. It seems too abstract, but the lecture speaker gave us a simply example: when you are the boss, your staff comes late, how you can help him? In that time, if you asked him that why you are late? The staff may blame for many excuses, like traffic jam, broken alarm etc. it not good for improved. But, if you can change you speaking way: how you can arrive on time? The staff will think more way to improve it, like wake up early, buy a new alarm etc. it’s more optimistic! At least you can lead he think the way to solve the problem, right? So, I earn this unexpected sense from this lecture.

    Finally, the speaker who came from Hong Kong, taught us to set up our own “Heart Anchor”, it like the power press-button set on your body’s secret place (anywhere you like), when you need to pick up your good mood or courage to face the problem, like speech, interview etc, you can press it. However, I did the setting, but, HA HA… I don’t know what step is wrong; I can’t found the little feeling like they said, and may I needs to try it again and again.
